This morning we’re having a little family worship time at Ft. Phantom… the outdoors were calling! So, earlier this morning, I was listening to new music and thought I’d share some of what I’ve been enjoying.

Found Joe Pug on NoiseTrade. He’s a lot like Dylan… wonderful!

My friend Richard turned me on to Over the Rhine. Here’s a tune from their album “Drunkard’s Prayer”. The title track is a great song… love of God as powerful as addiction. Here, I’ve posted “Born”

A Donald Miller tweet led me to Trent Dabbs. Here’s a video from his last album. I wanted to find “Me & God” but couldn’t… check it out on iTunes or something. And… I love that he has a song entitled “Neil Young”, with the refrain “I want to be somebody’s Neil Young”… :)

Finally, Susie Suh… not new, but I absolutely love her voice and art. I think I have everything she’s recorded. I wish she was more prolific. Reminds me of TV Carpio… you gotta love someone who has so much talent and yet doesn’t feel the need to cash in on it to the max, or grab every bit of the limelight she can.

When I hear the beautiful voices, the touching lyrics, and the passionate art of such singer-songwriters, I do believe that truly, whether consciously or not:

All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.
Psalm 66:4
